THESE WILL BE OUR PINK DAYS
2020 GRADUATE COLLECTIONCURRENT WORK IN PROGRESS
‘These Will Be Our Pink Days’ responds to current gender issues by attempting to challenge society’s construction of femininity. This womenswear tailoring collection aims to deconstruct sexualised representations of women in the media and instead create a flattened sense of sexuality, leaning towards andryony, which will allow women to exist outside of the confines of their gender. This is done through combining traditional tailoring found in menswear with silhouettes and fabrication techniques from women’s lingerie, with the aim of creating a womenswear collection which doesn’t conform to gender norms.
